I’m Emily! I am a wife, mama to three, friend, homeschooler, outdoor enthusiast and medical freedom advocate. I grew up in northeast Ohio and after high school moved to Lynchburg, Virginia to attend Liberty University. There I met my husband Jon. We got married in December of 2013. In 2016, we moved to Richmond, Virginia. We lived in Richmond for three years and had two of our children while living there, Leo who is now 6 and Zara who is 4. In late 2019 we sold most of our belongings, packed up the rest and decided to travel the United States for two years. We moved around frequently for my husbands job and had fun adventuring and seeing so much of our beautiful country! Our third child joined our family in the spring of 2021. Shortly after Ruby was born we moved our family to Minneapolis, Minnesota where we’ve been for almost a year now enjoying all the lakes, snow and outdoor fun!
After finding out I was pregnant in the fall of 2015, I couldn’t stop researching and reading. I was fascinated with pregnancy, childbirth and the miracle that is the woman’s body. After having fantastic prenatal care with my midwife and an empowering homebirth with my son, I couldn’t ignore the pressing on my heart. I was being called to birth work; to supporting women in the most beautiful yet vulnerable season of life. I am passionate about advocating for women through that process; from the time she finds out she is pregnant to the much anticipated first glance into her baby’s eyes.
